Our practice has a fully equiped laboratory with the most up to date instruments for measuring biochemistry, haematology and blood electrolytes.

The surgery has recently invested in a top of the range ultrasound scanner enabling us to do full cardiac echo examinations. The machine has advanced features such as the ability to measure the flow of blood through leaky heart valves and take measurements and view tissues in much greater detail than before.

We can also perform ultrasound pregnancy checks on dogs or cats from about 3 and a half weeks of pregnancy onwards. If you would like one of our vets to confirm a pregnancy or to check the development of the foetuses please call the surgery for an appointment.

The scanner is also used to check for diseases of the liver, kidneys, bladder, prostate gland and most other organs.
